The Nebraska Grocery Industry Association (NGIA) was formed in 1903 by grocers in the Omaha area. The organization has gone through several iterations and now represents all facets of the food industry, including grocery and convenience stores, wholesalers, manufacturers, distributors, and vendors, in Nebraska and across the Midwest. In addition to federal and state advocacy, regulatory oversight, and public relations, NGIA provides educational programming and job-training material for members and their employees. We work to ensure our members are kept up-to-date on the latest news and information impacting their operations and even offer several industry-specific programs at affordable rates so our members in a variety of urban and rural areas can continue to serve a wide variety of customer bases.
The mission of the Nebraska Grocery Industry Association is to promote the success of our members and the food industry in Nebraska through proactive government and public relations, valuable member benefits, and quality business services.
